1. Packing, Transport and Storage
1.1 Packing: Use a tightly sealed lightproof container made with corrosion-resistant material, such as a blue plastic pail.
1.2 Transport: Under regular temperature within 0℃~40℃.
1.3 Storage: Keep goods out of light, keep storage temperature within 0℃~40℃. Not suitable for a long storage time, otherwise, its solid content and pH value will be reducing gradually. |
2. Recommended Application conditions
The highest temperature of heat channel: 110~125℃.
Dosage for Film Coating: 2.5~3g/m2
Solidification Period: over 48 hours in oven chamber under 45℃. |
as for a preparation, Make an analyse first to the parameters of the latex in reference to this manual book , do some necessary adjustments according to real requirements. Caution that any containers or equipments involved should be anti-corrosion.
Our standard and regular pH value is 1~3 which provides a good guarantee to have the best performance for adhesion strength, transparency of the coated film and ultraviolet-radiations resistance. But please add 3% hartshorn and give it a good agitation when the coating machine can not stand on this acidity.
5. Surface Tension Adjustment
when need to reduce the surface tension, please add 20% or below of surface active impregnant, like middle chain alkyl sulfonic sodium, mixed by an adequate agitation. The dosage of emulsification impregnant must be 1% lower than solid content, otherwise, will affect the quality of coated film.
6. Solid Content Adjustment
According to coating requirements, formulate it with soft water, distilled water to dilute the latex evenly enough. When it needs a high dilution, some surface active impregnant can join in and will play a good role at preventing an exaggerated surface tension. Some blocking-resistant agent and slip agent can be mixed to water as per its actual requirements.
7. Set-up Temperature for Film Coating and Suggested Method for Heating Dry.
The lowest coating temperature is 16~28℃, and the material trough and plate roller is supposed to be below 15℃. The drying temperature after coating should be around 90℃, and best, to use exterior pyrogen like remote infrared to dry the film from its backside, to prevent a foggy film happen.
8. Temperature Distribution of Heat Channel
Better to have a gradient increasing temperature in heat channel and make the film have an instantaneous temperature at about 110℃ before exit, to get the best crystal under a sufficient plasticization.
9. Application of Cold-collecting Roller
A cold-collecting roller (with cold water flowing inside) must be applied after exit from heating channel, make it down to regular temperature instantly. It does great help to prevent the finished films from being conglutinated together.
In order to get the highest crystallinity and to reach ideal index for moicture & oxygen resistance, The coated PVDC film must be reserved in a oven chamber for 48 hours under 45℃.
To prevent possible membrane sticking to the coating machine, it should be washed thoroughly by water after each production pause. Hot water can be a nice killer when some membrane happens.
The latex is held in blue plastic pails, around 250kg per pail.
